Finally! One application that would hopefully not create a controversy in the Apple App Store! The non-profit WikiMedia foundation has published the "Wikipedia Mobile" application for Wikipedia buffs with iPhones

The application, like Wikipedia, is free and provides "quick and easy access" to all sorts of information. Well, that is precisely what the web version of Wikipedia does too. So, what's the big deal here? Well, the app is supposedly "easier to use" than the web version. It also bundles with it a feature of saving your Wikipedia browsing history for quick access.

if you subscribe to MobileMe, you can now use your iPhone or iPod touch to view and share Pages documents, Keynote presentations, Microsoft Office documents, PDFs and more. To view documents, simply select them. To share them with others, just tap the share icon and choose your recipients. iDisk will send them an email with a download link. Get the free MobileMe iDisk app from the App Store.

According to an email sent to customers some users are now seeing the wrong application icon or the Truphone application icon not showing at all under the iPhone 3.0 Software Update.

"Apple have not released a fix for the bugs yet, so if you are experiencing this Apple bug for any application, not just when Truphone is affected we recommend the following fix:

Step 1 - Go to the Applications section of iTunes on your iPhone/iPod touch and un-tick the affected application

Step 2 - Sync your iPhone / iPod touch

Step 3 - Go back into the Applications section of iTunes on your iPhone/iPod touch and re-tick the relevant application

Step 4 - Sync your iPhone/iPod Touch again

This should resolve this bug, however results are not guaranteed, as this is not an official Apple bug fix."

The register reported on Wednesday that "The next iPhone will have an OLED display, double the processing power, a 50 per cent improvment in battery life, and a rubber-backed body with a light-up Apple logo on the back."
